Laura M. Lokken, R.N., Owner & Director of Nursing
With over 18 years in the health care field, Laura has trained in critical care nursing, geriatric care and skin disorders, to name only a few. While taking care of her quadriplegic mother for 12 years, Laura realized that attentive, loving care made a positive difference in her mother's life. So Laura decided to extend that form of care to other elderly people, whose only other choice would be to enter a nursing home. Thus, Golden Oaks is more than an assisted living facility to Laura; it's a venture of her heart where she cares for all residents as they were her mother.
Theresa DiMarco, Administrator
Theresa's experience begins over 15 years ago when her grandmother came home from the hospital after having a procedure to remove a tumor from of her brain that left her with only her high spirit, loving memories and laughter. The story then went on with family taking care of family for the next 10 plus years. This family then took care of their quadriplegic grandmother/mother assisting with 100% of her activities of daily living. This story may sound familiar to you as it is the same one Laura Lokken, Owner and Director of Nursing has told.
Theresa is a 1999 graduate from Minneapolis Business College in Roseville, MN. She has several years in Customer Service and Specialized Care.

Jeri Lynn Swanson, R.N.
Jeri has worked her way up through the ranks over the years. She started in the Dietary department where she realized she loved taking care of residents. From there she became a Personal Care Attendant while studying to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Following her dream, she passed her L.P.N. Boards and worked as an L.P.N. for Golden Oaks while finishing up her Registered Nurse course. She recently passed her State Boards and is the newest R.N. on the team. Having spent so much time within the company while pursuing this dream, she has gained much knowledge in dementia care and the needs of our aging population. We love her bright and smily demeanor and look forward to following her dreams in the future!

Paul and John are an indispensible part of the Golden Oaks team. Both are in charge of all repairs, take care of all scheduling concerns, grounds maintenance, electrical issues, etc... The list is endless. They make sure that every day runs smooth for the residents and their families.
