Training includes seminars on Parkinson's, dementia, feeding tubes and diabetes. GOLDEN OAKS became a reality when owner Laura Lokken had the opportunity to take care of her own Mother. Since there were no assisted living facilities that specialized in higher level care, it became obvious that this was a direction Laura would take. Not all people need a nursing home. If someone needs more advanced care, GOLDEN OAKS can fill that need. It is such a nice transition for our residents, as they come to GOLDEN OAKS and it immediately feels like home. Laura and her staff love the residents and have chosen this career because of the deep commitment to serving individuals who are advancing in years along with health issues. Everyone is committed to the best of care. It is important that the residents feel at home, along with the personal features one has there. Great Care and Planning As an advanced assisted living facility, Laura Lokken took great care in planning the new facility. From design to completion, it has been a three-year process. They wanted to be sure they met all the needs of their residents who are unable to care for themselves on their own or in advanced stages of health related issues. |
